I was listening to CNBC and its special on the porno industry and how illegal downloads are making it hard for porn. I just thought of that and laughed because recently in Switzerland they talked about the state of the porno industry.

According to the article the problem with the porno industry is not theft, but the amateurs. Amateurs who want to show the world how they have sex are killing the “professionals”. And to make matters worse the professionals have to resort themselves to 6 minutes. It seems from the study that people will stay at a longest 6 minutes at a particular video. (hint, hint, wink, wink…)

The professionals are complaining since, well they can’t hold dialog or make a story. ROTFL, yeah right. Remember when people said, “Oh I buy Playboy for the articles.” Yeah RIGHT…

What is ironic about this is that I watched a documentary many moons ago where the porno industry complained when video tapes came out. And the argument then was that when they made movies there was a plot, and videos had no plots. My how much full circle we have come.

The reality is that this amateur porn industry is an outgrowth of the reality TV world we have become accustomed to. After all if we thrive on people calling each other b***h, why not thrive on watching other people do things that you normally don’t do in the open.

Am I drawn to this? NOT A CHANCE!

Though there is an interesting thing happening.

One of my hobbies is that I am an artist (am an expressionist with a hint of naivism) My favourite theme are bald nude women. I like curves in my paintings because curves imply flow and thus movement. I find it very hard to find pictures that I can use as a reference for my paintings. Why? Men and women have warped their bodies. Recently I compared pictures of nude men and women in the 2000’s to those of the early 1900’s.

What bothers me with men is that their bodies have become too muscular. They are not naturally muscular anymore. They are just bulk! A nude man that is only bulk has no curves and in my opinion disrupts the natural flow of things. What bothers me with women is that the curves have disappeared and reappeared in the wrong places. It is very depressing on the whole!
