EFT Guy, I agree. I wish my LG Dare was able to send my location automatically to Google Maps when I bring it up on my phone. It doesn't compete with turn-by-turn systems, but it is a nice feature.

Also, my GRMN position is down 13%. So I suck at investing here. :) I'm holding like every other down stock in my portfolio. I'm a sucker.

FWIW, some background: I have a relatively small amount in my IRA compared to what we'll be able to contribute this year and next and so on. So while I'm nearly 100% invested in my IRA, I'm treating it like 50% because I'll be able to put a bunch more in before next April. I have some longterm time frames in mind.

For the past couple years, we've been investing in our business and the house we just bought and haven't been able to put as much into retirement accounts as we have in the past... a decision that maybe deserves its own attention.

Cell phone navigation may not be as accurate, but it sure is impressive to be able to pull up a satellite image from Google Maps of the location you're in without having to have preloaded the right maps beforehand.

[...] In a blog posting Jason asks what he is missing regarding Garmin. My answer is that he is missing nothing! This is one those stocks where I was burnt because I jumped in too earlier (still long and will wait this storm out). BUT my basic premise of GPS which I have commented on many times stays.
