BTW for reference: 1) I buy fair price products whenever possible. I believe people should be able to earn a living. 2) I buy as much as I can from my locals supporting my local economy. Yes I will buy foreign as well, but whenever I can I buy local. 3) I only buy from those economies that buy from my economy. I believe in Free Trade, but it must complete fair trade. Why are you equating offshoring with commodities? They have nothing to with each other. Did I make an offshoring argument? Did I talk about offshoring? Answer is no! If you talk ethics it should be upholded in every industry not just commodities. offshoring is a prime example. People have lost jobs and are losing jobs on a daily basis since every multinational wants to offshore more to increase their profits. The people losing jobs due to this are toast. These days they are working hard to figure ways to offshore government jobs too. No one even bothers to complain or even fight it. Many of my colleagues who are older and have been let go arent even finding a job. So if multinationals can profit there by taking jobs out. Why shouldnt speculatrs profit by increasing commodity prices. Why is one ethical and other not. Your ethical argument doesnt make sense.
