					<description>I'm a Quicken junkie myself. I also use credit cards for everything I can so most of my transactions are recorded and available for download at the end of the month. I don't actually keep a budget though. I just look at the pretty graph that Quicken creates indicating my net worth is increasing :-) Regardless, your suggestions do sound reasonable for someone looking to get on track.</description>

I didn't use a second bank account for expense though since I had one for company (Accenture) expenses and I didn't want to deal with 3 different checking accounts. 

But now that I'm on my leave of absense, I might turn that account into a Jason expenses account. It will take a bit of time to transfer all my bills to use the new account, but I think it will be worth it just to save the time I spend now doing the math to figure out how much of the money in my checking account is "disposable".</description>
