[...] I read from Steve Rubel, that there’s one last great blog meme left in 2006. The blog meme spreading right now is called Which Superhero Are You? You should also know that I’m a big comic geek, so I couldn’t resist taking part in this one! I’m pretty happy with my results because it might explain my self-deprecating personality. Where’s my Mary Jane Watson? [...]

Have you guys read the Maxx comics? I missing about 10 in the series now (seems like I lose another one every year) and keep hinting around birthdays and Christmas that someone should buy me a complete set off of eBay.

Another birthday has passed with no Maxx in my life. I may have to treat myself.

Yes, I have Spawn #1 as well. Two copies of course, one to read, and one as the real investment. ;-)

I bought my Spawn #1 when it first came out. ;) I actually have a medium sized collection that has been stored out and haven't been touch for quite a while. I could spend the whole weekend just reading them again... but in the end, I don't know if I would be willing to part with the collection. Buy and hold!

[...] My first InvestorGeek post is already up. It is an article based on my geeky start to investing in appreciable assets. Don’t deny it, many of you have probably done similar things during your childhood. I hope you will enjoy that post and the many more coming soon. You can also count on Investorial to keep dissecting the good, the bad and the ugly in the investment / financial media out there! [...]

Welcome to the team, Vince.

I have that Spawn #1 comic too. Except I didn't get into Spawn until issue 9 or so. I'm one of those guys who bought #1 for like $20 (my friend wouldn't let me read his). Now, you can find it on eBay for less than $10. It's a little like buying MSFT at $28 before the last quarter earnings report. But, as you point out, I've never had as much fun staring at my eTrade portfolio as I have reading that comic.

On another note, we're big fans of Vince's writing. You can see more of his great work at his blog at http://www.investorial.com.
